Addison Foreningen i Danmark is an Addison’s Disease self-help group. Addison’s Disease is a rare, chronic condition brought about by the failure of the adrenal glands. Lifelong, continuous treatment with steroid replacement therapy is required. With the right balance of daily medication, most people with the disease are able to continue life much as it was before their illness.

The self-help group is functioning nationwide and has about 250 members. It is administered by a board of 6 members – all addisonians. Addison Foreningen i Danmark works to support people with adrenal failure and to promote better medical understanding of this rare condition.
